Deep Listening® Workshop with Grace Woodard

Rooted in the work of queer Latinx composer and sound innovator Pauline Oliveros, Deep Listening® is a philosophy and set of practices that explore expanded awareness through listening. It extends the practice of attention beyond traditional musical performance and technique, cultivating an awareness of the full continuum of sound, silence, memory, imagination, and place. The lineage of Deep Listening® also includes dreamwork and movement practices developed by IONE and Heloise Gold, drawing from influences such as qigong, tai chi, and Kinetic Awareness. Together, these approaches invite embodied presence, playfulness, experimentation, and co-creation through the practice of listening and sounding.

In this workshop facilitated by certified Deep Listening® facilitator Grace Woodard, participants will engage with gentle movement, meditation, and participatory sonic exploration.
