March 17 at 7pm, Unruly Voices returns! “Beware the Ides of March”

For the third night of poetry in the Unruly Voices series at Dissonant Works, we’re leaning into the warning “Beware the Ides of March,” from Julius Caesar. Over time the phrase has come to stand for betrayal, fate, power, and the moment everything changes.

For this reading, the theme is open to interpretation—warnings ignored, knives in backs, truths finally spoken, or that uneasy feeling that something is about to shift. Each poet will take the idea somewhere different, which is exactly the point. Expect a night of sharp, fearless poetry that leans into the tension of the turning point.
